The Friends of the Plymouth District Library are pleased to welcome Barbara L. McQuade. Professor McQuade will share her thoughts on “Liberty, Safety and the Rule of Law.”

Barbara McQuade served as the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan from 2010 to 2017. Appointed by President Barack Obama, she was the first woman to serve in her position. She also served as vice chair of the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee and co-chaired its Terrorism and National Security Subcommittee. As. U.S. attorney, McQuade oversaw cases involving public corruption, terrorism, corporate fraud, theft of trade secrets, civil rights, and health care fraud, among others. Today, she is a professor at the University of Michigan Law School.

Used Book Sale

Our ongoing used book sale provides the library with many important items such as special programs, summer reading program supplies, new book formats and building enhancements. We are once again gratefully accepting donations of books, as space for quarantining allows.  Please note that we are not able to accept text books or magazines.
